Among the amazing array of futuristic consumer products showcased at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show were some exciting hearing tech products that have set the industry abuzz. Here are three new products worth noting:
- ReSound won a Best in Innovation Award from CES for Accessibility for its new product, the ReSound ENZO2. The company, which has been making hearing technology since 1943 (a rarity in this business), also showcased its Smart Hearing app, which allows users to make their hearing experience more personalized by easily switching between location-specific hearing modes, different levels of sound reduction, and even have the ability to locate misplaced hearing aids using a smartphone.

- New Oticon Opn technology created excitement. Already a past winner of two CES Innovation Awards, Oticon’s platform claims to analyze and follow the dynamics of the soundscape around each use. Software then helps to differentiate between speech and noise, boosting the former while suppressing the latter. The company’s noise reduction platform was designed to effectively handle multiple speakers simultaneously, even in noisy environments.
- Signia was named a CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree for two of its products, the Cellion hearing aid and the myHearing app.
Cellion is the world’s first lithium-ion inductive rechargeable hearing aid. The hearing aid’s high-capacity battery provides up to 24 hours of continued use, even when users take advantage of Bluetooth streaming the entire time. Cellion can also be entirely controlled from the user’s smartphone, without the need for an intermediary device.
Signia’s myHearing app, on the other hand,  helps to connect hearing aid users with hearing care professionals. Patients can easily ask questions and complete training exercises, while professionals can monitor the progress of their patients, and, if necessary, adjust patients’ hearing aid settings remotely.
